The International Cricket Council has awarded Uganda the T20 Women’s Qualifiers hosting rights. The Uganda Cricket Association announced this through a press release confirming Uganda was ready for the world event that will run from December 7th to 18th.
“We are excited to host the ICC T20 Women’s qualifiers,” Uganda Cricket Association Operations Manager Joshua Mwanja revealed. It has been on our association plan since last year to prepare the ladies for a packed 2023 and they performed well qualifying for this summit”.
” Uganda’s selection to host shows the ICC’s faith in UCA’s capacity to host an event of this magnitude. Ground preparations are underway” Mwanja emphasized.
The tournament will have Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, and Namibia.
