The name Karitwa John sounds new in bodybuilding and it’s what motivated the young man to take the day as he defeated closest challenger, Lubega Godfrey.
The event that took place on 20th November at Horsepower fitness centre Muyenga saw over 50 bodybuilders taking part in arguably the biggest and last event off the Bodybuilding calendar.
Karitwa who trains from Body fit gym Kyaliwajjala had the best body definition, open muscles and the best pose among the five other bodybuilders who competed at the overall final.
On his part, the Ugandan athlete is upbeat for more honours having finished a distant 4th in the first event Mr Kampala held in May 2021 respectively.”I feel proud that I have won this championship for my fans, stated the winner”.
A dejected Lubega Godfrey who finished second feels that he did his best but luck was never on his side.
With the local calendar officially closed, all roads lead to Mombasa Kenya for the 001 bodybuilding competition and Uganda is set to be represented by a strong team of over 10 players who are set to compete in Men’s physique as well as bodybuilding.
