Dear fellow Ugandans,
On this momentous occasion of the 38th
Anniversary of NRM Liberation Day, I wish to call
upon all of us to reflect on our accomplishments
and renew our commitment to shaping a Uganda
that we are proud of.
Over the past 38 years, our Nation has
experienced tremendous progress and growth. We
have witnessed the transformation of our
Infrastructure, the expansion of Educational
Opportunities, and improvements in Healthcare
Delivery and discipline in our Security Forces.
These achievements are a testament to the hard
work, resilience, and dedication of our people.
It is important to build a nation where the rights and well-being of every citizen
are cherished. Our trade unions have fought tirelessly to ensure fair wages, safe
working conditions, and social protection for workers across various sectors. It
is through collaboration and unity that we can continue to advance the interests
of our workforce and create an inclusive society.
However, we must acknowledge that there are still challenges to overcome. We
need to address issues such as Unemployment, Income Inequality, and
Corruption. It is our duty as leaders and citizens to hold our government
accountable and work towards solutions that benefit all Ugandans.
As we celebrate this liberation day, let us also reflect on the values that define
us as a nation. Cherish the principles of Justice, Equality, and Accountability.
These values should guide our actions and decisions as we strive to build a
society that leaves no one behind and ensures equal opportunities for all.
Engaging in constructive dialogue to hold our leaders accountable, and actively
contribute to the development of our communities. Together, we can create an
environment that fosters sustainable growth, empowers our youth, and protects
the rights of all citizens.
Let’s take a moment to honor the sacrifices made by those who fought for our
liberation. Their courage and dedication should inspire us to work towards a
Uganda that upholds the values of freedom, justice, and democracy.
I extend my warmest wishes to all Ugandans on this 38th Anniversary of NRM
Liberation Day. Let us come together, united in our efforts to build a country we
shall cherish.
Together, let us build a Building a Uganda we shall
